Playa Viva is a Sustainable Boutique Hotel on the beach in Mexico. Our Yoga/Massage/Host role is available as a 4-8 week position between the months of October and August. This role requires that you are proficient and certified to provide massage and lead yoga classes. In addition, you will need to be a host/hostess for the retreat center, be outgoing, and enjoy spending time with new people. Being a host is a large part of the role outside of teaching one yoga class per day and providing massage/spa services (how you earn extra income). Speaking intermediate to fluent Spanish is helpful. You should also love nature, and be comfortable immersed in the elements and living and working in open-air spaces.
Compensation Includes

- $500 USD per month base pay for yoga teaching
- We provide on-site Room and Board. Lovely centrally located Hosting apartment that you’ll share with your co-host.
- All meals and beverages are included.
- Travel cost to ZIH of reimbursement of $175 USD/week (max $750)
- Split of massage revenue.
- Round trip ground transportation to and from the airport to the hotel.

Job Description
- Teach Morning Yoga 6 days per week.
- Provide Massages for Guests – usually 2 slots available in the morning and two in the afternoon
- Serve as a host for guests
- Receive guests when they arrive and conduct orientation sessions
- Join guests during meals and engage conversation discussing your experience at Playa Viva
- General help with kitchen team and bartender around meals as needed
- Engage guests in getting the most out of their experience while at the hotel
If you are certified in yoga and massage, love to work with people, enjoy traveling, share values of sustainability, enjoy great food (especially Mexican Food), like new and exciting adventures, have no problem being away from “home” for a month, are ok living off-the-beaten path in a fairly isolated hotel environment (if you get “island fever”, this is not for you) and love the beach, then this is right for you.
