The Ocean Foundation is a non-profit, international public foundation with a specialized practice providing high-end philanthropic advice for donors who care about the coast and oceans. Their mission is to support, strengthen, and promote organizations dedicated to reversing the trend of destruction of ocean environments around the world.
Playa Viva supports conservation and community through our commitment in supporting volunteers and our guests. We ask our guests to support these endeavors with a 2% Fee on the total of their bill. To make a separate donation - click here
The SunPower Foundation™ was created to empower, inspire, and motivate a new generation of solar energy leaders in communities around the world. SunPower is working with Playa Viva to bring volunteers with design, technical, engineering skills to empower the local community of Juluchuca.
Partner for Solar Energy - Elirmex is committed to the protection of the environment and the generation of solutions using renewable energy for residential, commercial and industrial markets. Elirmex designed and deployed Playa Viva's off-grid energy sytem including solar panels and back-up generator connected to battery system resulting in clean energy reducing CO2 emissions and meeting its objectives for sustianability and regeneration.
Verde Ventures/Conservation International
Both of these firms were partners in funding Playa Viva's expansion. Their deep due diligence process validated our business plan from both a conservation and social impact perspective. As part of this process we completed our GIIRS certification.
A four-day strategic and problem-solving retreat held in Ixtapa, Mexico near Playa Viva. Participants include non-profit leaders, for-profit social entrepreneurs, funders and social investors. Playa Viva has been working with Opportunity Collaboration to find solutions that alleviate poverty at the local level. Specifically we are working with the local organic food and salt cooperatives.
Playa Viva has partnered with Pack for a Purpose and our guests to deliver school supplies to the local elementary school at Playa Viva.
