A Yoga Retreat for Cultivating Compassion for Collective Uplifting

On this unique oceanside yoga retreat you will not only equip yourself with the tools to cultivate deeper inner awareness but also a stronger connection to your own sense of compassion. Through two daily yoga classes led by Cassi and Veronica, yoga philosophy, meditation, connection to nature, delicious organic food and more, we will contribute to a collective uplifting. We will also have an opportunity to channel our compassion into action through seva (selfless service) in the form of sea turtle conservation.
Classes will be appropriate for all levels. Expect a more vigorous class in the morning and a gentle focus in the evening.

I took my first yoga class at age thirteen and started teaching yoga in 2007. I have completed over 500 hours of teacher trainings including a 200 hr training with Annie Carpenter in Los Angeles, California. It was there that I received my Yoga Alliance Certification 200 RYT. In spring 2012, I completed a 30 hour comprehensive kids yoga training with Karma Kids in NYC and in March 2013, a 45 hour prenatal/postnatal teacher training in San Francisco at Yoga Tree. From 2014-2016 I studied with Maty Ezraty for over 150 hours and completed a kids yoga teacher training with Rainbow Kids Yoga.
I hold a BA in Theatre and Film, a MA in Theatre Management, and completed a Publicity Apprenticeship with Steppenwolf Theatre Company.
I have developed my own personal style of yoga over the years: a Vinyasa flow that focuses on pairing the breath and asana while developing inner awareness and peace. My ‘Family,’ ‘Toddler and Me’ and ‘Baby and Me’ yoga classes include games, singing, dancing and other creative activities focused on bringing the benefits of yoga to the whole family. Veronica Rottman Stevens
Veronica is a Chicago native whose heart lies in travel, good food and music. She believes yoga provides mental and physical, and emotional balance while also helping you break through self-imposed boundaries. Veronica completed yoga teacher training in 2009 and provides alignment-based classes that are grounding and mindful. She has completed thousands of hours of training with many teachers including Maty Ezraty, Seane Corn, and Sara Strother to name a few.
For her, yoga has provided relief from insomnia, depression, anxiety and life's ups and downs. Veronica travels the world sharing her passion for yoga including volunteer trips to Haiti and retreats in Central America, Yosemite, and local campsites. As a birth doula, Veronica aims to empower mothers through prenatal and postpartum yoga as well.
She loves appreciating the little things, like students who come to class filled with enthusiasm and seeing yogis make adjustments to their alignment. Her classes are welcoming, calm and invigorating.
