This retreat will inspire you and help you cultivate the tools you need to integrate peace into your daily lives. Our 5 days together will offer a balancing exploration of relaxation through the well-being practices of yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, a guided journey led by Eleni Gekas and Sena Shellenberger. Reconnect with yourself and nature at Playa Viva, where you’ll have a mix of private sanctuary space, subtropical coastal forest, and warm surf. Wake up to the sun rising above the mountains, watch the sunset as the ocean turns silvery blue, and drift off to the sound of the breeze in the trees.

Through meditation, yoga, and Ayurveda (India’s ancient “science of life”) we’ll incorporate well-being daily, allowing you to find a sense of ease in your body and mind, allowing us to reconnect with our hearts, our core beings. Finding balance on a glorious retreat is easier when you’re outside of your normal routines and responsibilities. Yet, Eleni and Sena understand that you need to incorporate these practical tools to manage stress when you’re back home too. We get it! So, how do you keep the depths, the ease you’ve discovered on retreat at home? We’ve made this a priority and you’ll return from this retreat with the tools you need to re-enter your life and continue with your practice at home.
Eleni will lead a daily guided body-based mindfulness practice. You will learn to get out of your head and into your body, to connect more with the world around you. This practice helps you shed tension and release stress making you empowered, present, and peaceful.
Sena will guide students of all levels through invigorating and balancing vinyasa flows while also incorporating hatha, therapeutic and restorative yoga styles. Your daily yoga classes will provide a well-rounded practice that will in turn open up your heart, body and mind in ways that allow you to connect with yourself on a deeper level.
Ayurveda, the ancient medicine of India, is a system based on self-awareness with the intention of bringing yourself into balance. By learning about your nature according to Ayurveda, you can apply simple tools to your daily life to restore balance. Come empower yourself to bring healing into your own hands.

Eleni will provide mindfulness training and Ayurvedic holistic lifestyle advice. She has been hosting retreats for 16 years in California and is excited to host an international retreat. As a Meditation Instructor, Eleni will provide on-going support post-trip for retreatants who are interested in continuing with their Mindfulness Practice. As an Ayurvedic practitioner, she supports you as you create your ideal lifestyle, balancing mind, body, and spirit with health and healthy living as your goal.
Sena Shellenberger: Certified Yoga Teacher (300 hrs), Founder of 5 Days of Yoga and www.yogawithsena.com.
Sena is passionate about making yoga accessible for everyone. She connects strongly with yoga as a means for healing ourselves and finding comfort and ease in our bodies. She has trained over 100 Google employees through her regularly scheduled classes and the yoga program she founded as part of Google’s well-being efforts. Her classes balance focused alignment cues with fun, freeing poses, and will leave you feeling rejuvenated and inspired.
Eleni’s experience and background complement her practice of Ayurveda and inspire a holistic approach to health and healing. She accepts people with an open heart, making suggestions and offering encouragement to support diet and lifestyle changes that complement their goals…
