The Art of Sustainable Collaboration

So Many Ways to Collaborate Successful
Starts Monday, January 10, 2011

The greatest level of joy, satisfaction and productivity comes from powerful partnerships and effective collaborations. This is true in both professional and personal relationships. It is a fundamental life skill. Unfortunately it's a skill few of us learned when we were young.

In this highly interactive and experiential program you will learn the mind set, skill set and process for developing long term partnerships - marriages, business partnerships and high-performing teams. All these collaborations require a certain attitude, set of communication skills, ability to create shared vision and the capacity to have the difficult conversations when disagreements and conflict inevitably arise.

This program is intended for everyone who works with other people, and that means everyone!

Price is $1,195 per person, double occupancy for 5 nights and includes all meals, airport transporation (but not airfare) and course fee. Does not include tax and tips or extras such as messages or other spa services or excursions.

ABOUT STEWART LEVINE

Stewart has been called an empowerment guru who improves effectiveness, while saving the enormous cost of conflict using “Agreements for Results” and “Resolutionary” conversational models. As a lawyer he realized fighting is ineffective in resolving problems. At AT&T he learned why collaborations and relationships fail. As a divorce mediator he developed models that he realized would work in any arena.

Stewart has worked across the personal and organizational spectrum " From the Esalen Institute to Fortune 500 and everything in between. He developed the “Cycle of Resolution” as a divorce mediator. His book "Getting to Resolution: Turning Conflict into Collaboration” (Berrett-Koehler 1998, 2009) was an Executive Book Club Selection; Featured by Executive Book Summaries; named one of the 30 Best Business Books of 1998; and called “a marvelous book” by Dr. Stephen Covey. “The Book of Agreement” (Berrett-Koehler 2003) has been endorsed by many thought leaders, called “more practical” than the classic “Getting to Yes” and named one of the best books of 2003 by CEO Refresher (www.Refresher.com). Along with David Coleman he wrote “Collaborate 2.0” that was released in February 2008. He teaches communication, relationship management and conflict management skills for The Esalen Institute, The American Management Association and The International Partnering Institute.

Sharon Jordan-Evans, Co-author Love 'Em or Lose 'Em Stewart creates agreement and empowerment. He models what he teaches. He is a powerful educator. Else Tomayo, Personnel Director, University of San Francisco

This has been an amazing journey of self discovery through the mirror reflection of other. Stewart, your workshop has assisted me in having a deeper understanding and a greater excitement in becoming pro-active in the development of what I want to create in my life, and knowing that it is not cast in concrete.
Donna Stone

It's always a treat to watch, listen and learn from a master.
Maya Lynn Gon-Sarela, University of San Francisco

Stewart, it has been invaluable to have worked with you and learned the agreement process. It is a great foundation for both business and personal relationships. It guide you to a clear vision of where you are going and helps answer the question of whether, and how far you can trust the people you want to work with. Expressing fears and concerns before moving forward is especially useful. Resolving concerns provides a peaceful place to start from that is very empowering. The process will be a powerful tool to create from for the rest of my life. I am very grateful.
Rebecca Hubbel, Entrepreneur

Judy and I really enjoyed your class and we're really enjoying working through conflicts with your model. The few days we spent in the group were extraordinary; we thought about creating agreements at a depth we'd never experienced before. We have already short circuited recurring arguments by crafting agreements like we learned to do in the seminar. Thank you again for bringing the distinction of agreement to our relationship.
