Action and Adventure
With close to 80% of the property as a private reserve, we have a huge wild space to explore. You'll get to enjoy horseback rides along the beach, head off on a deep sea fishing adventure or scuba diving excursion, or just explore the local flora and fauna by foot, bike, zip line course or sea kayak.

Surfing & Water Sports
Playa Viva offers some of the best surf on Mexico's Pacific Coast, for novice, intermediate and top surfers. Local surfing instructors welcome all skill levels. Breaks include Escolleras, Playa Linda, La Saladita, the Ranch, Mahajua, Troncones, Playa Manzanillo, Juluchuca, La Barrita and Las Gatas, all within a one-hour drive. Playa Viva is adjacent to Playa Icacos, one of the only locations in Mexico where top surfers can catch one of the few pipelines in all of Mexico.

Scuba Diving
The waters surrounding Juluchuca are filled with an astounding variety of sea creatures -- from tiny sea horses to huge humpback whales during the winter months. You'll also find large schools of dolphins, or - when scuba diving - big manta rays, squid, moray eels, and blowfish. There are literally hundreds of scuba tours to select from in nearby Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa.

Zip Line
Playa Viva will have a small zip line course that allows you to test your skills. This is a fun and safe for the whole family. A great way to explore the terrain at Playa Viva from a birds perspective.

Climbing
We are building climbing walls for beginning, intermediate and expert climbers to test their skills and get some great excersice in the process.

Kayaking
Immerse yourself in nature on one of Playa Viva's small group or private kayak tours. The lagoons of the state of Guerrero, Mexico, are home to thousands of waterfowl and migratory birds.

Biking
With 200 acres to explore, bicycles are a popular way to enjoy the full run of the land. Pedal power is the transportation means of choice for exercise and exploration. Complimentary bicycles will be available for all Playa Viva guests.

Horseback Riding
Horses will be available on site at Playa Viva. The horses will be clean, well fed and very tame with western saddles and bridles.

Excursions
Whether it's surfing, shopping or seeking arts and entertainment, we have lots of transport and guide options to host you on whatever tour strikes your fancy.
